NAMI Walk

Adventist Health NAMI Walkers Did you know 1 in 4 adult Americans experience a mental disorder every year? At Adventist Health, we believe that caring for the body, mind and spirit are equally essential. That’s why we will be participating in the NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) Walk on  Sunday, May 19 at 1pm at the Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade.  We hope you’ll register today to join our team and walk in support of someone you know who is trying to cope with depression or other mental disorders.

Sunday, May 19 at the Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade

The festivities begin at 8:30am with the Heart Walk starting promptly at 9:30am.

NAMI provides educational classes and support groups for patients, friends and family. They also help connect people to appropriate mental health resources. Most importantly, they work to break down the stigma against mental illness in our community.  Meanwhile, AMC provides the largest private mental health hospital based service in Oregon to help those in pain.
