Adventist Medical Center is pleased to offer a Cancer Support Group to patients and family members coping with this disease. Living with cancer can be intensely challenging. Research indicated that participation in a support group can:
- Reduce anxiety and depression
- Decrease pain
- Enhance life span
- Promote quality of life
Spending time with others who "have been there" can be a welcome source of support. Our support group is facilitated by a professional who has worked with patients for many years in the Portland area.
This support group is for anyone with cancer or family and friends of those who have cancer. It meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at Adventist Medical Center in Radiation Oncology and is free to all.
