Doctors' Day 2013
Honor your doctor for National Doctors’ Day. Tell us why you love your doctor.
Join us as we celebrate National Doctors’ Day, March 30, and offer a tribute to your doctors.
Each of us, by choice or by chance, has been profoundly influenced by a doctor’s compassionate and professional care. Every day we hear from grateful patients who appreciate Adventist Medical Center’s highly skilled and committed physicians.
You can honor your doctors by writing a note of appreciation. We’ll share your note with those of others.

About National Doctors’ Day
March 30 marks the day the Dr. Crawford W. Long first administered ether as a surgical anesthetic. It was first observed by in 1933 by Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond, expressing appreciation for the lifesaving work of doctors everywhere. President George H.W. Bush formally designated March 30 as Doctors’ Day in 1990. The day is traditionally celebrated by sending a written expression of gratitude to a physician and by displaying red carnations (the symbolic flower of Doctors’ Day).
