Annual Golf Benefit
17th Annual Golf Benefit
July 15, 2012
The Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club, Aloha, Oregon
Since 1996, more than $1.5 million in net proceeds from the charity tournament has helped to improve the health of our community.
Community service programs benefiting from past tournaments include:
- the Community Health Van mobile wellness service
- outpatient diabetes education
- patient care scholarships for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation patients
- chaplain services
- Hope and Healing Garden for behavioral medicine patients and a cancer care coordinator
The current health care model focuses primarily on treating the ill.To effectively change the future state of health of our community, we must give strong attention to disease prevention and wellness initiatives. The Adventist Medical Center Foundation desires to be on the front line of this movement and we are joining this battle with a renewed commitment to wellness programs.
The 17th Annual event has a goal to raise $100,000 for health and wellness programs.
This year's event will support AMC's Community Health Navigator - Bringing wellness to you and the community, the program funded by our 2011 golf tournament.
This Community Health Navigator will continue to investigate new ways to serve the community and develop the initiatives to meet those needs as well as promoting our current Wellness programs.
We hope you will join us as we work to improve the health and life of our community.
