Biography
Dr. Kraig Russell received his medical degree from Indiana University in 1999. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio and his fellowship in palliative medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He is board certified in internal medicine and is specialized in promoting quality of life despite advanced illness. His philosophy of care is to lend a voice to suffering, and to provide a space for healing the mind, body, spirit, and soul. Before arriving at Adventist Health to be Medical Director of Palliative Care Services in 2012, Dr. Russell served as a leader in palliative care and hospice services in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In his free time he enjoys hiking, camping, reading philosophy and poetry, investigations into consciousness research and the healing arts, and maintaining a healthy life balance.
