Treatment
Depending on the severity of your symptoms you may be taken immediately to a treatment room or be asked to wait until one becomes available.

Patients with minor medical complaints such as earaches, coughs or minor injuries may be treated in our Rapid Medical Evaluation area during the hours of 11 am - 10 pm. The goal in this setting is to see and treat all minor ailments within an hour of arrival. All minor ailments can be treated in the Emergency Department when this service is closed.

After you have been evaluated by a physician it may be determined that you need lab tests or x-rays to help diagnose your problem. The estimated processing time for lab tests and x-rays is approximately 1-2 hours.

After your test results are completed the physician will re-evaluate you. A physician specialist may be consulted to help in your care. If you need to be admitted to the hospital an appropriate bed will be assigned. Your medical care will continue in the Emergency Department until you are transported to your room in the hospital.

Visitors
We understand that being in an Emergency Department can be a frightening experience. Our staff will do their best to allow one visitor to be by your side. Please keep in mind we have limited space and other patients need their privacy also.
