Inpatient Services
Our inpatient treatment program for children and adolescents is located on a 17-bed secured medical unit on the campus of Legacy Emanuel Hospital. This acute psychiatric setting is a safe environment for young people and families during times of crisis.

We embrace the philosophy that children do well if they can, but often lack the skills needed to succeed. Our multidisciplinary team uses the collaborative problem solving (CPS) model to create an individualized treatment plan targeting skill deficits that interfere with daily living. Our goal is to stabilize and assess each patient, support and educate parents and guardians, and build a foundation for future successes.

Each patient receives a comprehensive assessment, including:

• Assessment of current crisis
• Evaluation of skill strengths and deficits, including formal psych testing as needed
• Identification of family support needs

Admissions
Call CareMark Access at 503-413-4848. This is the single point of entry for all referrals. Clinicians will assist with the gathering of clinical information, determine appropriate level of treatment and provide health plan assistance.

Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic
As a bridge to outpatient mental health services, Legacy Emanuel Hospital offers an outpatient psychiatric clinic for children and adolescents that provides short-term psychiatric stabilization. Program features include:

• Urgent Psychiatric evaluations
• Primary Care Physician consultation
• Medication evaluations
• Step down care from inpatient treatment
• Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) treatment for clients who demonstrate combative/explosive behaviors*
• Individualized Care Planning
• Individual and Family Counseling*
• Parent training*
• Single point of entry for all crisis and non crisis psychiatry appointment scheduling
• Determination of level of care needs and scheduling of treatment appointment is made with one phone call
